Roemheld to launch new clamping solutions at EMO

Roemheld will be launching its latest innovations in power workholding at EMO. These will include new compact elements, components for increased safety, automation solutions for mechanical clamping systems and zero-point mounting systems for piece production.

In addition, visitors to the Roemheld stand E42, Hall 4, will see a demonstration of the application possibilities for electrical clamping technology.

To enable safe and reliable use of hydraulic clamping fixtures in a very limited space, the company will be exhibiting two new products: a compact intensifier with integrated check valve and a standardised valve module combination. The intensifier transforms a low input pressure into a higher output pressure so that more compact clamping elements can be used, and the check valve shuts off the high pressure. With the valve module combination, complex hydraulic fixtures can be controlled in a limited space.

Also on display will be a wireless pressure monitoring component, designed for safety, which enables pressure drops on hydraulic clamping fixtures to be recognised early so that machine damages can be avoided. By means of an electronic sensor, fixture pressures up to 500 bar can be monitored via radio on machines at a maximum distance of
300 m.

Roemheld will also be showing an extension to its automation solutions, a new compact clamp that gives a signal as soon as the unclamping position is reached. This automated solution is offered as a mechanical only clamping system, is optionally mountable in horizontal or vertical position and can be used as a comprehensive, flexible and diverse alternative to conventional pallet systems.

Also on the stand will be the fully automated and manually-loadable, new zero-point mounting system "Speedy classic 2 Twister NG". Ideal for single clamping, it offers high precision with µ-exact positioning, a very high force absorption, a backlash-free form fit and extremely high rigidity. Thanks to its high positioning, accuracy and easy handling, it is also particularly suited to manual loading and can also be used as a zero-point mounting system in automatic production.

A cylinder head fixture with hydraulic-free components will also be on display as an application example of the Roemheld E-TEC electro-mechanical clamping elements.
