The Roemheld stand 5240 at MACH 2012 will focus on how its latest workholding innovations can help companies increase work throughput while reducing handling times, material wastage and cycle times.
A special 5-Axis technology area, which will be full of ideas and applications for machine owners looking to enhance productivity, will showcase new launches including the Hilma KC100 5-Axis vice. This enables concentric components to be gripped in the same vice by combining all the features of the SCS range with the added advantage of round carbine inserts.
This versatile 5-Axis clamping system is suitable for 5-Axis machining centres and pallet systems. The reversible (1 face flat, 1 face with grip) and interchangeable inserts and round inserts (with grip) allow machining of both un-machined and machined parts. As a result the time taken changing the inserts or adapting them to individual workpiece contours is reduced to a minimum.
Also on display will be a new, fast-closing zero point mounting system that simply clicks into place and holds immediately making it ideal for use within an automated cell. The Hilma SPEEDY easy click, from Roemheld, is a mechanical fast closing clamp that engages without the application of any force. It is ideal for use in cutting and non-cutting 5-Axis machining centre applications and the mechanical latching system makes SPEEDY easy click zero point mounting system ideal as a robot gripper within automation engineering.
In addition, Roemheld will also be showcasing the latest developments in its Modulog assembly and mounting products.
